I am proud to say that I went to the same school as Captain.Gopinath. As an Ajeet and a Sainik School passout I can say he is a true specimen of what Sainik School boys are made of. More often then not cadets from Sainik School excel in their chosen field. Heheh enough of the proud talk...

Now the news is Captain.Gopinath has decided to jump into politics. He has decided to contest from Bangalore as an independent candidate. His three-point agenda is to fight terrorism, which is impacting our life in terms of safety, security and economic activity; communal violence and divisive forces.

From being a Captain in Armed force to a Farmer to an aviation entrepreneur and now to a politician. I wonder what else he has got up his sleeves!! I am sure Gopi will set high standards and brings tremendous laurels to the post that he would take.

I loved the plain old yahoo messenger interface basically the KISS(Keep it simple stupid) funda. And yesterday I ended up upgrading yahoo to the latest version and loooo I was in for a surprise...I have been given a Crown, a crown for being the top 5% of messenger users(Power User). I couldn’t believe it...my yahoo IM shows a crown beside my userid. And it also gives me power to suggest a feature to yahoo and since I am one of the Power Users, yahoo makes sure they pay attention to what I say and see if the feature makes sense to be included.

On top of my feature wish list is a text replacer feature. Like when you type ttyl..yahoo im should automatically replace it with "Talk To You Later", there is nothing wrong with anyone sending out ttyl, for that matter its kwel to send it that way, but there are so many others who don’t understand ttyl and I usually end up explaining them what ttyl stands for.

So if I suggest a feature its going to be a programmable text replacer feature :) what do you think? You have something in mind that you want in Yahoo IM... message me of course on yahoo IM or hmmmm....here in comments

I am a fan of most MS products but I liked firefox better for one and only one reason "Tabs".
yep... I hated when I had clusters of Internet Explorers opens. Firefox offered a better browser management. Each browser window could be open in diffrent tabs but in a single window, thats exactly what I want.

I have been getting so many chain mails and messages about the time and date sequence. Even IndiaTimes.com had an article on their site about this time date sequence. It was interesting to see the date and time line up to show 01:02:03 04/05/06.

Now looking at the dates and numbers, sometime next month we will have another interesting sequence. And this time its special cause its going to be
06:06:06 06/06/06 ofcourse this sequence you will see once every year(only 12 times or the first 12 years in a century).

And the thing is 666 is considered to be an evil number, I hope nothing bad happens next month. Got to wait and see

That vending machine did it again!!! Its been a couple of times that I have lost money at this vending machine.
Few days ago. I badly wanted a mountain dew, i put in the money and press the "A7" button and the pop is struck. I can see it but it wouldn't fall down. No matter how hard I try to shake the machine the pop wouldn't fall !!! Damn. And today I wanted a Dole mango+pineaple fruit juice ... I put in the money, and instead of the juice I wanted, it gives me a "Dole Grapefruit". I have never so much liked this grapefruit. It has a strange tangy, sour taste. I was like what the heck let's try it cause I never tried dole's grapefruit.

Came back to my cube and did a little research...... look what I found....Grapefruit, is only 300 years old. It is believe to have been produced in Jamaica by an accidental pollination of a fruit called pomelo and an orange. That's something new !!!! And for all of you who want to lose weight this is a excellent juice for you. It high on Vit C and fiber.

Tom Cruise is back with his Mission Impossible 1 looks. I loved the opening sequence of MI2 and there were some awsome sequences but the movie as a whole was a hmmmm ok ok .

MI 3 will be released on May 5. And I am definitely going to the first day first show. Here is a comment from one of the crew/cast from the movie about Tom Cruise �He rolls off the Vatican wall which is 75 feet in height, and he comes down face first with a wire on and stops two inches off the deck� .. This sure looks like a stunt similar to the first movie.

News !!! I have 5 fishes in my aquarium now.
one Dalmatian Molly, three Zebra Danio and one Red Fire Guppy .

The danios and guppy are the active ones and are pretty hardy. They can survive in changing conditions. That's why they are good for a beginner like me :) . Dalmation molly is the biggest among the ones I have and its doing pretty well.. I will try to post some pics soon :)

ok Here are couple of snaps of the aquarium. This one is a Bookself aquarium and it measures 23.75 inches wide,
11 inches deep and 9 inches high. It has a source of light on the top and a filter which hangs on the back side of the aquarium. The Aquarium comes with a background picture.. I have to paste it to the back !!! Its going to look great with that :)
Ya ya It still donesn't have fishes in it, it been like that for 48 hours...24 hours more and it will be ready for the fishes.

Yup I got one !! :)
It’s a 6.6 gallon bookshelf aquarium. It has cool looking light blue and dark blue gravel at the bottom. Couple of decorative items.. One artificial rock with hiding place for fishes and beautiful show piece which is a castle style Chateau built on rock. And a couple of artificial plants in the tank. I will be posting the pic soon!!!

The tank is in the cycling process!!! Kind of getting ready for the fishes. It will at least 3 days and after that I can get some fishes :)

Nagesh Kukunoor of Hyderabad Blue fame has a latest offering �Iqbal�.. The movie gets a decent 6/10 points for its music and not so good 5/10 for the movie. I am sure as always Kukunoor�s movie is �zaraa hat ke� but what stirs more masala is that Subash Ghai invites M.F.Hussian and the later is so moved my the movie that he paints about 8 paints relating to the movie. He he� is this a marketing gimmick.. if it is.. Ghai �The show man� is doing it right.

As far as I am concerned I would defiantly like to watch it� after all Kukunoor has always adds a very natural and original touch to his movies.

Ya ya I tried the new yahoo messenger 7 ... yes it has more bling bling then the previous version but wait a minute its not perfect, it comes with a lot of grapics problems(at least on my pc) , I liked the fact that it came with a brand new PC to PC talk but no I dont want it.. I missed my Old yahoo messenger...version 6. I began searching online to see if I can find it... no way there was no easy way of finding it...why are yahoo ppl hiding the old version why can't the Yahoo messenger web site have a link displayed to the older versions ??? ah anyway I found it with the help of my good old friend Google .... here is the link to download Yahoo Messenger 6 Suite -

When they moved from Cambridge to Newton; his wife was certain that he would forget that they had moved. So she wrote down the new address on a piece of paper, and gave it to him. In the course of the day, he threw the paper away. I was using my roomie's laptop today and I saw these annoying popup comming up all the time. All these popups had a common header "Aurora". So if you have the same problem.. here is what you need to do.

Go to start/run and type CMD press ok
When it opens type CD and press return and then when you see the C: prompt type CD/WINDOWS press return
Type NAIL.EXE /FullRemove press return

Note: Make sure that there is a space between NAIL.EXE and the /

There was something missing today morning... something I did every day for the past nearly a month. Everyday morning after my shower my first thing to do was switch to OLN TV and watch Tour De France. Every day 21 teams consisting of 9 riders each, competed in the worlds most gruling sport - The Tour De France Cycling.

And on Sunday Lance Armstrong won the Tour De France for the 7th time and bid adieu to the sport, the sport which has made him a true hero. Lance waged a battle against cancer and came back to the glory. I would everyday be eager to watch him ride for title for the last time.

On Sunday July 24 2005, The city of paris and the whole world saw lance climb the podium along with Ivan Basso(2nd place) and Jan Ullrich(3rd place) the moments were very special, very special moments to every one. If ever you want to see a hero and fighter here he is in flesh and blood.
