I loved the plain old yahoo messenger interface basically the KISS(Keep it simple stupid) funda. And yesterday I ended up upgrading yahoo to the latest version and loooo I was in for a surprise...I have been given a Crown, a crown for being the top 5% of messenger users(Power User). I couldn’t believe it...my yahoo IM shows a crown beside my userid. And it also gives me power to suggest a feature to yahoo and since I am one of the Power Users, yahoo makes sure they pay attention to what I say and see if the feature makes sense to be included.
On top of my feature wish list is a text replacer feature. Like when you type ttyl..yahoo im should automatically replace it with "Talk To You Later", there is nothing wrong with anyone sending out ttyl, for that matter its kwel to send it that way, but there are so many others who don’t understand ttyl and I usually end up explaining them what ttyl stands for.
So if I suggest a feature its going to be a programmable text replacer feature :) what do you think? You have something in mind that you want in Yahoo IM... message me of course on yahoo IM or hmmmm....here in comments
